Terms and Conditions
- Payments will be returned if a class has to be cancelled due to minimum numbers not being achieved
- Dodgeball Academy Limited or any of their staff are not responsible for any loss or injury during the class.
- Dodgeball Academy Limited reserves the right to remove from our programme, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour.
- You must declare all medical conditions during registration and keep us up-to-date should this change by emailing/calling us on 07878 529 464
- You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use, and keep us up-to-date should this change using the given email address or phone number.
- Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. Paid for spaces will be given priority.
- You must refrain from bringing your child to class if they have had any form of illness within 48 hours of the class.
- We don't issue refunds for missed sessions due to your own circumstances
- If there are any sessions that cannot take place due to issues with a venue Dodgeball Academy Limited reserves the right to find an alternative venue close by or rearrange to a different evening in the same week. If neither can be achieved a refund will be allocated for the session.
Safeguarding Policy
Introduction
Dodgeball Academy Ltd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people under the age of 13 who participate in its activities. This Safeguarding Policy sets out the club's approach to safeguarding and outlines the responsibilities and procedures that everyone involved in the club must follow to ensure that children and young people are protected from harm.
Scope
This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, coaches, and participants involved in Dodgeball Academy Ltd, regardless of their role, responsibilities, or level of contact with children and young people.
Responsibilities
The club's designated Safeguarding Officer is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented, and that the club operates in accordance with statutory requirements and guidance. The Safeguarding Officer will also ensure that all staff and volunteers are appropriately trained and supervised, and that any concerns are reported and dealt with appropriately.
All staff and volunteers have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and must adhere to this policy and any associated guidance.
All participants have the right to be treated with respect and to participate in a safe and supportive environment free from abuse or harm.
Procedures
- Recruitment and selection The club will ensure that all staff and volunteers are appropriately recruited and selected, and that all necessary background checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, are undertaken. The club will also ensure that all staff and volunteers receive appropriate training, supervision, and support.
- Code of conduct All staff, volunteers, and participants must adhere to the club's code of conduct, which sets out expectations of behavior and boundaries. This code of conduct will be communicated to all staff, volunteers, and participants, and any breaches will be dealt with appropriately.
- Reporting concerns Any concerns about the welfare or safety of a child or young person must be reported immediately to the club's designated Safeguarding Officer. Concerns can also be reported to the NSPCC or the local authority Designated Officer. The club will ensure that all concerns are recorded, investigated, and dealt with appropriately.
- Training and awareness All staff and volunteers will receive appropriate safeguarding training and will be made aware of the club's Safeguarding Policy and associated procedures. The club will also ensure that participants are aware of their rights and that they know how to report concerns.
- Physical contact and communication All physical contact between staff, volunteers, and participants must be appropriate and non-abusive. The club will ensure that appropriate boundaries are maintained and that communication is appropriate and respectful.
- Photography and social media The club will ensure that appropriate consent is obtained for any photography or filming, and that these images are used only for the purposes for which they were intended. The club will also ensure that appropriate measures are in place to safeguard against the misuse of social media.
- Child Protection – The club will ensure all staff undertake relevant safeguarding training and PREVENT training.
- Any concerns staff have around child neglect, abuse or harm will be reported confidentially to the safeguarding officer. Where deemed appropriate concerns should then be raised to the Local Children’s Services, NSPCC or Police.
- The safeguarding and Child Protection Policy will be reviewed annually with feedback from stakeholders and integrate any changes in legislation or best practice.

Code of Conduct
Dodgeball Academy Ltd is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. To ensure that everyone has a positive experience, we ask that all children and parents adhere to the following code of conduct:
For Children:
- Respect coaches, teammates, and opponents. Treat everyone with kindness and fairness.
- Follow the rules of the game and the instructions of the coaches.
- Refrain from using abusive or unsportsmanlike language or behaviour.
- Wear appropriate attire and equipment for the session, including athletic clothing and non-marking shoes.
- Participate fully in the session and avoid distracting others.
- Be responsible for your own belongings and respect the property of others.
- Inform the coaches of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your participation.
- Have fun and encourage others to do the same!
For Parents:
- Provide support and encouragement for your child, but refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
- Respect the coaches and their decisions regarding your child’s participation.
- Refrain from using abusive or unsportsmanlike language or behaviour towards coaches, officials, or other parents.
- Ensure that your child arrives on time and is picked up promptly after the session.
- Ensure that your child is wearing appropriate attire and equipment for the session, including athletic clothing and non-marking shoes.
- Inform the coaches of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your child’s participation.
- Follow the guidelines and procedures set forth by the Dodgeball Academy Ltd regarding attendance, payment, and other policies.
- Set a good example for your child by exhibiting good sportsmanship and respect for others.
- Please ensure you child brings a drink to the session. No sweets or mobile phones.
- Have fun and encourage your child to do the same!
We believe that adherence to this code of conduct will help create a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants in Dodgeball Academy Ltd. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to this code of conduct.
Health and Safety
Please read this form carefully.
- Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge that my child’s participation in the Dodgeball Academy Ltd carries with it inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury, physical harm, and property damage. I understand and acknowledge that these risks cannot be eliminated and that my child’s participation in the club is voluntary.
- Release and Waiver of Liability: I hereby release and waive all claims against Dodgeball Academy Ltd, its officers, directors, coaches, volunteers, and affiliates (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that my child may sustain while participating in the Dodgeball Academy Ltd.
- Indemnification: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liabilities, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage sustained by my child or any third party as a result of my child’s participation in the Dodgeball Academy Ltd
- Medical Treatment: In the event of an emergency, I authorize the Dodgeball Academy Ltd coaches, staff, and volunteers to obtain medical treatment for my child as they deem necessary.
- Code of Conduct: I understand that my child is expected to follow the Dodgeball Academy Ltd’s code of conduct, including but not limited to respecting coaches, teammates, and opponents, and refraining from any abusive or unsportsmanlike behaviour. Failure to adhere to the code of conduct may result in my child’s dismissal from the club.
- Parental Supervision: I understand that the Dodgeball Academy Ltd recommends that parents stay for the sessions to supervise their child. Dodgeball Academy Ltd will not be responsible for supervising children outside of the scheduled sessions.
